Memory Verse

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you face trials of many kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without fault, and it will be given him.” James 1: 2-5

In the Bible James urges us to consider it pure joy when we are going through hard times. This kind of joy comes from knowing that God is in control of everything in our lives. It’s trusting that He is constantly at work, using both the good and scary times to develop endurance and patience in us.

Knowing this truth helps us see our fears differently. We can use our fears to remind us that we need God’s help to strengthen us. A reminder to turn our fears into prayers and rely on Him to use them for our good.

James also teaches us that God generously gives wisdom to all that ask. Moments of fear will always come, but we can ask God to give us wisdom to see our fear through His eyes. Fear can be something that grows you closer to God and strengthens your faith! Growing a faith that is stronger than your fears is the ultimate goal!

Is there something that always brings you feelings of fear? Maybe the fear of letting your team down. Ask God everyday for the wisdom to see those moments through His eyes

Make a list of the things that scare you. Commit to turning the list into prayers. Let those moments be your reminder that God is with you.
